Local Issues

How we build a sustainable future is the big question before us right now.

We need to cater for our growing city – with upgrades to roads, public transport and pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure.

With the Toowong bridge now opened, the upgrade to the Coro Drive bikeway underway, and the plans in place for an upgrade to MacGregor Terrace at Bardon we are meeting that challenge locally.

Construction of new classrooms for the local baby boom is underway at Ithaca Creek State School, with plans now locked in for Milton State School next.

The new Climate Smart Home Service helps meet the challenge of dealing with climate change at an individual level.

Governments around the world have been trying to re-create growth in the last 12 months – what we really need is sustainable growth.
